Welcome to my webpage! My name is Jinhyuk Jang. I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Economics and Management at The Kochi University of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science at The Pennsylvania State University in 2021.  I hold an M.A. in Political Science from Duke University and a B.A. in Political Science and Diplomacy from Dongguk University in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. My research focuses on executive-legislative relations, with a special emphasis on government formation in Asia-Pacific democracies. My work has been published in political science and public administration journals, such as the Japanese Journal of Political Science and the Asia Pacific Journal of Public Administration. I currently work with Dr. Yanai Yuki to study the causes and consequences of election timing and conduct a meta-analysis of studies on Japanese elections.
